23 October 2018 National Assembly statements In a statement on Tuesday, ACDP President, said that his party rejected moves by Eskom that would see a 15% tariff increase for the next three years to boost their revenue and pay its debts. Not only could most South Africans not afford such a tariff hike, but much of Eskom’s debts have been incurred through mismanagement and blatant corruption. Eskom must also find ways to recoup the R13 billion owed to them by defaulting municipalities.
