Durban parks under threat – #ACDP
The ACDP is appalled at the deterioration of parks in our communities. These places should be safe havens of tranquility and peace. Instead, community parks are utilized by businesses and residents as a drive through area, rubble storage areas, places for worship, and for purposes other than what it has been created. The ACDP believes that the protection of community parks are vital to all, in that it builds unity within the community and acts as a safe zone for families to come together and enjoy their surroundings. This enhances the ambiance of the area and promotes the development of a healthy family lifestyle. The invasive actions by businesses and residents prevent this from taking place. The ACDP calls on the Parks Department to enforce the by-laws where infringements have taken place. #Durban
