Protest breaks out, students set mattresses alight in Durban – #ACDP
The ACDP is saddened by the actions of these students but also ask if these violent protests have been politically manipulated. What began as a student protest for rights has quickly escalated to burning of beds in the middle of the street by students wearing red shirts. Communication with SRC brings discussion and options to change the state of the students conditions, however violent protests only brings police and arrests. The ACDP encourages the students to not be manipulated by political influence but rather meet with the leaders in the education institutions to discuss solutions.
