The only private members bill passed in the last 20 years which came from the ACDP and MP Cheryllyn Dudley who was the driving force behind this bill. Thanks to this bill fathers can now enjoy 10 consecutive days of parental leave when their children are born. This highlights that the ACDP want families to be together and want to make sure that families have more time to bond together. Families are the foundation of any country and any political party that wants to develop a country should have policies that benefit families. In South Africa this is not always the case.
