The ACDP supports the VAT zero rating on sanitary pads, bread and cake flour. These items are most needed and used by the vulnerable and poorest of the poor, who live among us. It must be mentioned that the main reason for the increase in VAT, fuel prices and other administered costs, has been the mismanagement and misappropriation of public funds. The ACDP has been at the forefront in calling for a clean government. Political leaders and other key public servants must be held accountable for all the reckless, fruitless and wasteful expenditure which occurred under their watch. The ACDP has raised its concerns, spoken out against and helped lead parliamentary investigations into the billions of Rands have been lost to the fiscus over the past few years. Our value system and track record in matters of governance speak for themselves. The ACDP calls on all voting South Africans to register their disapproval at the polls in 2019 and make the ACDP their party of choice.
